With Business hosting you get unlimited space, traffic and databases. Now if you look on the web you will often meet critics against this “unlimited”. That is because they don’t take into account the most basical requirements and restrictions of using webhosting. “Unlimited webspace” simply means that you will never have to update for getting more webspace. Neither for more databases or monthly traffic. But you have to respect what is written in the agreement and you can find back in the agreement of so many other webhosts. First of all you signed up for a webhosting account and not for an account to store files. You are thus expected to run a website that is accessible for the public.
Then the content on your website must comply with the requirements in the agreement. You may not publish illegal, inappropriate content or SPAM. Creating an unlimited number of subdomains to put content on pages that maybe nobody will ever read looks spammy indeed. But things are different when e.g. you want to start a bloggers’ network.
Also, the guaranteed 99.9% network uptime should be correctly understood. It doesn’t apply to problems arising from server hardware breakdown, user errors or purposeful disruption(s) of the hosting service. Neither to failures caused by software that we don’t support. Don’t use a third party monitoring service as a proof of downtime due to a variety of factors including the monitor’s network capacity or transit availability. By server uptime you must understand the uptime reported by our own operating system and the Apache web Server which may differ from the uptime reported by other individual services.
